My Story

As most of you will know I love a good challenge, I'm at my happiest when I'm out of my comfort zone and pushing myself to do weird and wonderful things. Combine this with raising money for an amazing cause and I'm there with bells on!!

So what am I at now....

I’m raising funds to save sight by taking part in Sightsavers First Light for Sight challenge in January 2023. I will be travelling with a small group to the Arctic, where we will be learning Arctic survival skills. With no running water, no electricity, and camping in -20 Degrees, this challenge will test my limits! I'm going to be doing gruelling training to get myself in shape for the challenge. I'll be posting about my training, the highs the lows and everything in between!!

So why am I doing this? Globally, the number of people in need of eye care is spiralling and unless eye health services improve, the number of people who are blind could triple to 115 million by 2050. But Sightsavers are working to make sure this does not happen. An incredible organisation that has restored the sight for millions of people with the help of their supporters. It would mean so much to me if you can support by donating to my page, but more importantly your donation will help save the sight of children and adults worldwide, no one should go blind needlessly from avoidable causes.
